Hi, my name is Nechirvan Zebari. You can call me Nech (pronounced like “beach”). I was born in Iraqi Kurdistan and moved to the United States when I was five years old. I was inspired to open Alida’s Bakery because my family never had a fresh & reliable source of Middle Eastern breads in Seattle.
Until now.
I opened Alida’s after learning how to bake my family’s recipes from my brother and his wife (the bakery, Alida’s, is named after them). As one of very few local Middle Eastern / Iraqi bakeries, I strive to earn your trust and make our bread super fresh, authentic, and, above all, delicious.
In addition to being the owner and head baker, I’m also a father, husband, registered nurse and soccer-lover. I look forward to hearing your thoughts about your experience and encourage you to contact me at any time.
